Prairie Larkspur

Delphinium virescens if you want to be scientific, which I generally do. This handsome fellow/lady (most plants are hermaphroditic, remember?) was out at Staffenson Prairie Preserve.

This morning I trained Hilary and Katie on the Hesperostipa collection, then this afternoon Laura got the Trimble training.

The Trimble, a GPS device I'm quite familiar with, is actually fairly simple to use, once you figure out what's going on.

More photos to see!
Cottonwood, Carduus, weird maggots

edit:
My brother had Freshman orientation for college! See my dad's blip about it here. I'm sure some of you know what he means
