Up to Highdown

We went up to Highdown Gardens today after an ever-so pleasant trip to the dentist (had a nice filling done). It was boiling... easily the hottest day we've had since the drought of 2006 over here I think.

I've broken my own rule with this shot - I captured it with my Nikon D40, not my Canon S90. I used a Nikkor Micro 55mm f/3.5 (1:2) lens. It's an old film lens, manual focus and exposure but incredibly sharp. This is a crop from a much wider photo - the lens is sharp enough that I can get away with it!
