Coyote

This coyote showed up on our neighbors wall as we were reading our morning newspaper. She was only visible for about five seconds and the camera was ready. This is the best of four quick shots.

She was probably out hunting rabbits and other small animals.

Daily high temperatures have been over 100 degrees F for about five days. I'd be shedding too!

Note the long legs. They are built for distance.

The eyes look malevolent, but I think that she was just curious about the humans staring back at her.
