Liberton Tower

This fifteenth century pad belonged to the Dalmahoy family - and eventually into the hands of one Provost Little of Edinburgh. He built something bigger and better - and this gem became used for agricultural storage from 1610.

It's a four storey keep (a kind of fortified house). And nowadays since it was restored in the 1990's, it is available to rent as a holiday home with class!

I pass it most days, and it's always been in my sights as an emergency blip. So with nothing much doing, and it being a little hot and sticky for exertion - this was its day!

The view beyond - as it is all the way along that road - is very beautiful!
