The Swilken Bridge, St Andrews

Three weeks from today the winner of the Open golf will be crossing this bridge on his way to the final green. Today it was a couple of spanish tourists.

Preparations are well underway with the tented village appearing and the many stands rising up all over the course. As I looked out over the course this evening, and indeed strolled up the 18th fairway, I wondered what other sporting arena members of the public have open access to most of the year round? Ceratinly couldn't walk around any of our national or club football grounds.
