Where did all the water go?

We visited Kendal this morning mainly to visit a couple of shops but also have a nice cup of coffee and and wander about. We were quite shocked at how low the water was in the river Kent when only a few months ago it was in flood (compare it with these pictures by Robert Beale ;-)). It's not normal for me to say this, but we really could do with some rain in Cumbria :-/
