The building of the Shard

I'm down at Guy's Hospital very early this morning and was overwhelmed by the new building work on The Shard. At ground level it all looked so messy and shapeless.

Then I got talking to Nzenwa who was working as a traffic marshall on the gate to the hospital (unwise to get ambulances and diggers going to the wrong destination).

He was very knowledgeable about both architecture and photography, giving me a good many minutes of him time to get the shot I wanted. Plus allowing me to climb over barriers I probably wasn't supposed to.
