Jarvisness

Just the ticket

The Jarvis has never understood the habit of many tourists who leave currency from their country in bars as a memento of their visit, without even getting booze in return. You've all seen small-denomination notes - mostly American dollars - pinned behind bars for no apparent reason. The Jarvis Foundation estimates that there are enough American dollar bills pinned behind bars in Western Europe for a Jarvis to buy a Greek Island and open a proper Jarvis bar with enough left over for a happy retirement, even if the bar makes no money. However, at Cafe Bizon in Brussels, a bar run by music lovers, what adorns the walls and rafters is not useless currency, but used concert tickets put up by the proprietors, staff and regular customers. A proper Jarvis bar.
