Road Trip - Day 8 - Mt. Rainier National Park

This is a 24X zoom shot from the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center 1647m (5400 ft) of the mountain climbers at the intersection of Paradise Glacier and Cowlitz Glacier as they make their way to Camp Muir cabin 3105m (10188 ft).
This is the first part of their ascent plan. When they get to the cabin, they rest until about 9:00 pm, and then proceed to summit Mt. Rainier.
This is a great training area for people wishing to attempt summit at more difficult mountains, like Everest.

I was so excited that I actually got a blip that was reasonably clear. I did not have a tripod! You couldn't see the climbers at all with the naked eye!
