Rubus cockburnianus in bloom

This is one the most prickly plants I know. I have seen it in winter when the canes are highlighted in the border with their eery 'bloom' of white, and then in springtime when there are oodles of new growth popping up everywhere.

What I have never paid much attention to are the flowers, they are small and fairly unspectacular when viewed amongst the more eye-catching geraniums and roses. However, alone in the viewfinder of a camera they are, to me, much more interesting.
