Life At 60°

Garden has had a battering

The weather over the last few days, I was going to strange, but this is Shetland and any weather is normal. Torrential rain in short sharp downpours and windy most of the weekend. The lupins in this photo have taken the brunt of it and most are at strange angles but they should still flower for a while yet. Some are already trying to get back skyward. The foxgloves are doing too badly.

It almost felt like autumn this evening with thunder and lightning and hail bringing about a 45 minute power cut. As I write this it is getting very dark again and another downpour cometh.
