Go Green, see red!

Just a couple of new, albeit recycled Inkjet cartridges.
Thought I was doing the world a favour purchasing these particular type.
But it seems HP doesn't agree, as I found out whilst printing out my assignment...only to be greeted with the joyous message...
"The following print cartridge has a problem:
Cartridge on Right"
"But it's new" says I.
Many forums later and surprise surprise I'm not alone.
HP can detect re-cycled cartridges and stops your printer from using them.
So, I'm off to work early tomorrow....and looking for a new printer.
