Coco the cockerel?

This is the pickle who has been trying to crow! But, it sounds more like a child's squeaky toy which has been stood on!! No doubt she will get the hang of it though!! Oh dear looks like she will have to go!!

It has been very noticeable that 'Mum' has now stopped being protective towards her chicks gradually more and more over the last couple of weeks. She used to make sure there was plenty of food for them before she w,ould even consider eating herself. But now not only must they fend for themselves but she chases them away from the food so that she can feed first. The 'pecking order' is now coming back into force!!
