Road Trip - Day 12 - Arches National Park

This is Delicate Arch.

An image of this arch is on all the Utah license plates.
It can be seen from three viewpoints. The first two are across the ridge:

3. The bus drop off Lower Delicate Arch Viewpoint (didn't bother).

2. The Upper Delicate Arch Viewpoint, which we did in the morning - this blip is from that set because the people in the blip show the scale. This trail takes a little scrambling on the red "slickrock" surface.

1. The Delicate Arch Trail: of course the best one, because it is up-close-and-personal, but a 3 mile round trip that involves carrying at LEAST 2 Liters of water (it gets VERY VERY hot!) and some moderate scrambling and some strenuous walking. We did this in the early evening and it was still very, very hot! I definitely perspired a lot doing this trail.
