Machais Seal Island and Puffins

Machais Seal Island is the place to visit if you want an overload of Puffins. There are about 4000 birds on the island along with Razorbillls, Thin-billed Murres , terns, gulls, Savannah Sparrows etc. It is located 10 miles of the Maine Coast and has a Canadian Light House located there. Canada maintains the sanctuary and the number of visitors are regulated. You spend about an hour in a blind with Puffins and Razorbill as close as 2 feet. They land on the roof of the blind and only get upset when you enter or leave the blind
