Let's get it on

Here are some beetles that were in the process of mating. I think that orange bit there is the spermatophore, but I can't say I really know all that much about the love life of beetles (admittedly, I know more about tailless whip scorpion sex. thanks, animal behavior class).

In any case, I have a ton of other photos to show you.

Yesterday, at the endangered orchid site:
