Datura Detail

I took the canal trail for the first time in quite a while this afternoon. I looked again for oak leaf galls, but I think the wet spring has meant very few will be found. I also expected to see a nice crop of matilija poppies, but they had all been mowed the ground when they should have been in their prime. I was despairing of finding anything to blip when I came across a whole lot full of Jimson Weed, Datura. They were not easy to photograph in wind and bad lighting, so I settled on this detail.

I spent some time this evening catching up and did some backblipping from here to the end of June.
