pick your own tomatoes! Well, when they're ready.

We've made our hanging baskets into edible baskets this year. We've got tiny cherry tomatoes, strawberries, parsley, nasturtiums to decorate our salads and other things which I can't even remember so I'm looking forward to the suprise.

Sitting on the balcony watching the strawberries grow is a delight I'd never imagined. I'm waiting for the day when we should have a cheese and tomato sandwich on the table but we'll be poised underneath the first ripe tomato ready to add it to the bare, expectant cheese. What a strange, simple life I seem to be living at the moment.
