Slippery stones

A cunning plan for world cup and crowded countryside avoidance. Headed out to Derwent reservoir late afternoon and took the bus up to the end. As we walked on from the bus to the swimming pool in the river known as "slippery stones" everyone else was heading back for the last bus, leaving the pool clear for a spot of tranquil skinny dipping. The water was plenty warm enough, though the sun disappeared. Unfortunately the planned picnic was cut short by hoards of biting midges, and had a nice walk back (about 5 miles) to the car spotting various wildlife on the way, including unfortunately loads of poor diseased bunnies :(
