Waiting for the Music to Start

This is the Ferry Terminal in the Fairhaven District of Bellingham. Today we went there to hear a concert of chamber music as part of the Bellingham Festival of Music. We got there early to get a close seat. The harp and chairs and music stands were on stage waiting for the musicians to play. It was a wonderful concert.

There are a few more concerts in the Festival. Tomorrow's recital features the amazing young cellist Joshua Roman and soprano Heidi Grant Murphy and her husband Kevin Murphy on piano. There are two more orchestra concerts as well. Check the schedule on the Festival of Music Website. It's worth a trip to attend these concerts. It's the best orchestra music I've heard and that's saying something.
