Tamarillos to Tree Tomatoes

Several weeks ago I took a photo of some tamarillos.
This time I thought I would show them peeled and sliced as a number of you had never heard of this tasty fruit.
Sometimes I cut the fruit in half and scoop it out of the skin with a spoon and sometimes I like to slice the fruit and scatter with some brown sugar.
Years ago they were called tree tomatoes in NZ. I read recently they changed their name to Tamarillo in 1967.

Haven't been on blip for a week or 2 but hope to be back more regularly now(!)
