"What's wi the photaes?"

Two Jarvises walk into an old-time bar - in this case The Station Bar in Abbeyhill. It's an old-time bar with old-timer customers and old-time war movies on the telly, and a grim attempt at humour: "If you want glasses please see an optician - don't take ours!" As though Tennent's glasses weren't a dime a dozen.

This Jarvis takes out his camera to capture the old-time ambience. A woman approaching pensionable age shouts from the far end of the bar in a challenging tone: "What's wi the photaes?" As though taking pictures was somehow offensive or subversive.

The mystery of the "Safari Lounge" in the rear of the premises remained elusive.
