OK, I know the Indians were vicious in many ways. That was their culture. After attempts to assimilate them into the New American way of life, with ignorance and racism the order of the day, the invading people simply stole their lands, destroyed the buffalo and set up the reservations.

Disease and alcohol did the rest.
