Mrs Cyclops

Homecoming

On the fifth and final day of our trip, Cyclops and I set off home from the croft.

We went home via the Loch Ewe distillery which Cyclops has written about here. It was really interesting, as you can make your own whisky in the way they did back in the days of illicit distilling.

Obviously that was Cyclops's choice - my choice was to visit Gairloch Heritage Museum, cos I love local museums for local people. Lovely.

A special mention should be made of the Mustn't Grumble cafe in Gairloch - which was seemingly attached to the museum. It was a special place, serving fish and chips which you bought takeaway style but ate in (fair enough) but the decor was extremely random including a pole, and a large mural of a buxom pole dancer.

At some point along the way I seem to have caught a cold and was a right miserable pain in the ass. Cyclops was a very tolerant man. He also said it was sheep flu.
