Just (half of) One Cornetto!

Woops! As soon as she lifted the lid on her strawberry Cornetto, the top of it promptly fell off, accumulating grass bits as it rolled away from her. I was trying to photograph (rather Blip) my own chocolate Cornetto against the blue blue sky, but gave up on that, when Rach lost hers.

It was a very lazy morning after a 2am bed-time (tea and toast after a 50-minute taxi ride home) with sore throats to boot! Finally surfaced and headed west to Windsor, to catch up with the Scottish contingent, while they waited for it to be time to head back to Heathrow. Another glorious day in the sunshine, sitting in a bar next to the river.

Rach dropped me off a little bit later on, where I had a mooch around the shops at T5 and overheard the sales assistant at Boots tell her colleague that Brandon Flowers had been in while she was on her break. I was gutted to have missed that Papparazzi-Blip opportunity!

And so it was destination Warsaw, arriving home to 26 degrees and hideous humidity. I heard the last few minutes of extra time of the World Cup Final on the radio in the taxi, as someone got red-carded, Spain scored and then won!
