Thorn in my side ...

Working all day on the kitchen again! We planned to do the window frame, skirting boards and door - stripping down and painting. I planned on a couple of hours to strip the window frame and then prime it before going out for a ride on Jack, returning to do the first coat of paint before we went out for dinner with friends. Five hours later I had only just finished burning and scraping the old paint off the windowframe. No ride, and no painting done. Spent most of the afternoon grizzling at each other. Mike didn't manage to finish the door so now we will have to have another weekend of DIY hell and the house is still in chaos. Went out for a curry in Stinkley with James and Lynn and drank lots of wine to compensate. Not in a happy place today.
