G&Ts Round the Fire

Busy day at work and little sign of the typhoon until 5 o'clock when it turned pitch black and the rain lashed down... only lasted an hour or so though, the typhoon had apparently missed HK and headed to Vietnam. Great news for the weekend plans.

Left work at 7 and dashed to the supermarket to stock up on tasty food and alcohol, rushed home and packed and my weekend bag to head off for a weekend of fun in Lantau.

One of my friend has a tea farm on Lantau. Met up with friends at the ferry pier, caught the ferry over to Mui Wo and then got a half hour taxi on the windiest of roads to the farm.

The farm is absolutely beautiful. It was originally a nunnery but has now been converted to the most beautiful six bedroomed house complete with a croquet lawn and a pool.

Had a quick look around our home for the next couple of days and then got to the important business of drinking gin and tonics around the fire. Its much cooler and less humid over on Lantau (and the farm's quite high up too) so the fire was actually needed. Really lovely evening, great start to the weekend.
