morning splendor

this morning was one little splendor after another. waking up to a sliver of early morning sun peeking through the clouds, reflecting that perfect sunrise hue over douglas lake. a relaxing while spent sitting at the waters edge, loons calling over the lake interrupting my meditation. taking a few hours to delve deeper into my current book (A River Why by David James Duncan). harvesting greens and radishes and planting peppers in the garden run by a dear friend of mine. riding the beach cruisers (dubbed 'carbon cycles') out pine point, through the woods with the lake just visible in the distance. and all before brunch!
