Gib's House

Today I played duplicate bridge at Gib's house in Mt Vernon. My brother Dave was there. He's the one who introduced me to the group. For the past couple of years twelve of us have been meeting once a month to play duplicate. My other brother Steve is usually there as well but today he was off backpacking with his girlfriend. Barbara and I were partners and to our amazement (things did not seem to be going well) we came in third. Then I jumped in my car and headed north to Bellingham for a quick dinner and the last Festival of Music concert. Oh my what a great concert. So sad to see the Festival end. Already I'm looking forward to its 18th year next year.
