a little cluster of poppies popped up on the edge of the path thru the park a couple of days ago - today i finally got round to stepping over to snap them (on that incredible occasion: a full mid-shift break!). good job i did, as on my return after lunch the mowers were out in force and they got sliced off in their prime. ouch...

a wee while ago i said i was back (sort of, maybe, ish) ... same applies now really: i'm starting to breathe again around the insanity of work, hopefully the eye will return to seeing what's there rather than faintly registering there is some world going on there if only i could find the time to look.

after all, 600 is on the horizon, and i can't resist a good number blip! esp since i've been overtaken by various people i've been watching over the past months (you know who you are, and congrats on great journals - i've been dipping in even tho i've not commented in forever :-) )
