Leaving Strathmore

The view from the living room at the lodge.

We had looked out this window each evening, hoping for rain to lift the river and encourage the salmon and sea trout up from the sea. But, all week the rain clouds blew over and dropped their water somewhere else.

Our last day, after a fantastic week of isolation and fishing, and the rain started to fall. As we said goodbye to our cosy lodge in the middle of nowhere, it chucked it down.

We will be back fishies.
