Moorhen

I was so lucky this morning to get some shots of moorhens. They normally hide in the reeds, but today, with chicks to feed, some of the moorhens ventured out a little further, but not as far as the bank.

I got lots of shots of the little family, but they were not so sharp - probably because of my shaky hands (just camera shake)!

Then I spotted this shot, she's not as colourful as the others, but I'm thrilled because she's my first bird blip!
