Impression 5 Science Center

This morning it was raining and the forecast said it was going to stay that way until late in the afternoon. Time for an indoor activity! We already found the Impression 5 Science Center on the internet. It looked very promising so that's where we went.

Impression 5 has several hands-on science exhibits and the girls loved it! Even Ellis had lots of fun playing with water and pushing every button she could get her little hands on. We launched a bottle rocket and fired a tennis ball canon using pressurized air. We created enormous soapy bubbles; some big enough to fit a person. We played with water, sound and electricity; it was just great!

This image shows Ellis in The Big Mouth. Very appropriate too, as Nienke lost the first of her primary teeth two days ago. It was a lateral incisor as I have learned today at the science center. Nienke has been looking at the tooth that came out and found it to be rather dirty and she wants to brush it before showing it to her grandparents after we return home.

You may recall that Martine's high school reunion is the main reason we are in Michigan this year. Yesterday she drove to Saginaw for the 'meet and greet' and tonight there's going to be a dinner. Tomorrow we will all go to Saginaw for the family picnic. Looking forward to that already; it will be fun meeting the classmates Martine has been telling me so much about!
