Infrared Angel 2

Tried out the R72 infrared filter again today and actually managed to get over to Anthony Gormleys Angel Of The North.
I think this has been photographed from just about evry angle so I decided to do something a little different.

Canon EOS 40D with Sigma 24-135 F2.8 lens and R72 infrared filter. 35 sec ~ F13 ~ evaluative metering - ISO 100.

Prefocused the camera and set aperture at F13 and tried a range of times from 15 seconds up to 50 seconds. 30 seconds worked out just about right.

Adjusted red, green and blue channels (sharpening on the red channel and adjusting brightness on the green channel). Adjusted histogram sliders to achieve a good tonal range, added contrast, adjusted brightness using curves, removed noise using Noise Ninja, reduced picture size to 800 on longest edge, added a touch more contrast and carried out a little dodging on the actual Angel and finally used the sharpen filter.

Just want to apologise to the people who commented on my previous picture but I processed this one after the first one and thought the second one was better. Sorry :0(
Hope you like.
