The life of wood-e

By woode

the fire still burns

It was my birthday today. Still young, but a child of the seventies, just.

The day did not start well, with the kids up at 6 and hyper. Things progressed Little Wood-e got his hair fettled and we went to the [his words] 'pig market' to get a roast hog roll (becoming a tradition, almost.

Back in time for my Dad and his partner to drop around for a bowl of soup and then off to watch the rugby with my mate Gav.

We went to his neighbour's attic cinema. Great afternoon skulling wine and enjoying the laughs as England won through.

Tonight a lovely meal with Mrs W and more rugby (as I tell everyone it only happens once every four years, well apart from the Lions, of course!). France played amazingly, what a game.

As the saying goes, the firse still burns, as it did on our house tonight so it seemed a fitting blip for a day that started poorly but grew and grew.

Hope everyone else had a good day.
