The Bullet Train

Today we left mother-in-law's and headed down to Fukuoka on Japans south island Kyushu. We have one night here before an early flight to Tokyo and then on to London.

We travelled on the Bullet Train as it is so quick and easy. A 26 minute trip that takes around 90 minutes by coach. As you can see we did not travel light, which the railways do not really like. the Bullet Train does not have much space for luggage, as it is not the Japanese way to travel with large suitcase's or in some cases no luggage. Of course the main reason for travelling on the Bullet Train, was so i could sit on the station for half an hour, watching the trains go by. Mind you, if you blink you miss them.

There is a wonderful luggage delivery service here. So if you are travelling for a few days or heading further afield, you get your stuff delivered. Everytime we have used this service, the cases have been where they need to be and at the right time. Just wish we had something like this back home.

Well off to have a final Kirin Beer and set the alarm for an early call.
