Le lavage des mains

We left the USA and drove into Quebec on the 55. This sign was in the ladies toilets at the first rest stop. Not in English, only in French (as most signs are in Quebec - most unhelpful on the highways, especially when lost). So, the implication is that English speakers alread know how to wash ther hands whereas French speakers need some instruction....

We were prepared for the ring road at Montreal - last time we got completely confused (it was rush hour and raining heavily) and went about 10 exits further north than we intended. This time it wasn't too busy and the weather was good but we still nearly missed the route 20 Toronto exit. It's the worst road system of any city I know including the London M25 & the Paris perepherique. Someone on the city council had shares in reinforced concrete - there are high centre barriers & sides - and exits are only signposted when you are right on them and have no chance to change lanes.

Decided to try and get back to Mr T's cousins' place in Aurora rather than have another motel stop. The novelty of them has definitely worn off. We made it before 8pm - over 500 miles with one lunch stop and 2 short breaks - approx 7.5 hours actual driving. Not planning on doing much today!!
