Near miss

A tornado touched down along the road here in Carrollton, NY - only minutes after we drove through in the torrential rain and high winds. Despite the low visibility, something compelled me to keep driving. At the time, I thought it was because we were within a mile or two of home. But now I realize that I kept driving because if I had stopped, we would have been directly in the path of the tornado. Tornadoes are rare in Western NY, but 4 touched down on Saturday evening.
