Lunch in the country

I'm taking my mum out to lunch with Carol and Eric Trueman, old friends.

The destination is a country pub called 'The Fools Nook' out on the road to Leek.

I take a detour up into the hills. As I don't really photograph landscapes I was lucky to find this snail happily munching in the grass verge.

This plant is snail equivilent of scampi and chips I suppose.
