Northern Cardinal

Lois was right. Adding a bird feeder with black oiled sunflower seeds would attract cardinals. The feeder also attracts finches.

This cardinal spends most of his time on the ground. He does go to the feeder, but he might be too large to be comfortable there. Besides, the finches drop lots of seeds on the ground.

This fellow needs a napkin so he can wipe off his messy beak.
