Dragonfly season

I wish I could capture how filled the skies around here are with these beautiful little creatures. It's amazing watching them fly around in the sunlight. Despite the miserable heat and dangerous heat index I sat outside and watched them awhile. I was trying to get a good shot of this one who had perched on the end of a fishing pole, but my shadow fell on him as I was getting comfortable and he took off. It is so neat out there right now. It's like a dragonfly storm!
