Bagot Goat

Bagot Goats are classed as Endangered by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.

The are medium sized goats with long hair and large curving horns. The head, neck, and shoulders are black, and the rest of the body white.

They are known to have existed since the 1380s - one theory is that they were brought to Britain from the crusades by Richard The Lionheart and given to Lord Bagot.

With very few breeding females left they are one of the most endangered.
