Guild houses

The Grand Place is the historical central market square of Brussels. The 15th century Town Hall of Brussels is on the square and the rest of the square is lined with beautiful houses that were built as the Guild Halls for the various craft guilds in Brussels. The Grand Place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Two of these guildhouses are on the picture. The left one is called Le Mont Thabor (Mount Thabor) and the one on the right La Rose (the Rose). These two houses are part of the section of the square that belonged to the Brewers Guild Hall.
