Dare-devil youth jumps mile high chasm!

Today we had plan A if the weather was okay, B if it was not okay, and C if it was dreadful. AS we drove towards our start point of Port St Mary it was looking dreadful, but by the time we got there twas okay again, so we set off on plan A to walk clockwise around the coast from Port St Mary to Port Erin, stopping for lunch at The Chasms, and afternoon tea and cakes at The Sound.

At the Sound we saw probably 20 seals basking on the rocks. More fun was had by sledging down a steep slippery grass slope on carrier bags, and by Cari pushing me backwards into a gorse bush, and Deborah plucking the prickles out of my bum! Lots of photos taken, inlcuding beautiful combinations of purple heather and yellow gorse, lots of people photos, and some of the seals (need a longer lens!), some of which may find their way onto the Flickr at some point.

Slight detour on the way there to see the water-driven roundabout at Silverdale, and, on the way back, to Niarbyl Bay and its quaint thatched cottages.
