Rhapsody in blue

This morning Darren was looking for birds when he found a big clump of knapweed covered in butterflies. Most of them were Common Blues (pictured) with a scattering of Brown Argus, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Ringlet and one tatty Small Skipper.

The best thing about it all was that it was right next door to where we live! Hopefully some of them will stray over the fence into our garden soon...
