Last Leaves

I set the vase of three week old flowers that my husband had bought me on the counter ready to be tossed. And then I saw the light shining through the window, highlighting the graceful shapes of the leaves and crumpled petals.

What I've loved about taking pictures is how most days I see light in a brand new way. This was my moment of different light for today.

I changed the earlier picture of plums. (they are in my blipfolio). This one just seemed a better match for my mood.
