I feel like I've frittered away most of the afternoon even though I started out with some tidying and cleaning, having been abandoned by Mandy and weans as they head North to visit her mum. What's that? Abandoned and starts tidying and cleaning not slumping and beering? Indeed.

Today I put away the childish things that are my old sequencers, synthesisers and drum machines having only dragged them out of the store maybe about nine months ago and set them up in a room in the attic where they have, since then, sat untouched. I think that means I'm not interested in them any more. I'll leave them sitting around for a while and then decide whether to sell them or not.

But I also came across a pile of minidiscs that the noodlings from the aforementioned toys were sometimes recorded onto. That required finding an amp, speakers and minidisc player to go through them so that I could shake my head at how crap they are.

Having created space in a big white room, I then had to take some photos in it. Normally that would have involved dragging a child in to sit. Or cajoling Mandy. But they're not here and since that only left me, it had to be some kind of still life. Something that emphasised the whiteness. A white stone on a bit of white paper. Then I spent more time fiddling in Aperture trying to make it the suggestion of a white stone on a bit of white paper.
