Gilsland Show

Sheep, sheepdogs, cows, alpacas, ducks, scones, tractors, wrestling, cakes - all part of the course at the Gilsland Agricultural Show.

This is a Swaledale tup - a male sheep. His wool has been dyed for purely aesthetic reasons, and his horns oiled to make them look even more impressive. He has a very deep, but quiet voice that sounds more like a powerful whisper than a bleat.
