My nearly teenage eldest daughter is a really sweet kid - not into facebook, msn etc etc - still plays with her Sylvanian toys with her sisters and counts reading as her main hobby..but she is growing up.

I sink deep into my youngest daughter and her newness and sweetness and understand and rejoice in it all, but it is familiar territory - my eldest is taking me into new places.

So this afternoon she tried on her new bikini and since I had the camera out (taking photos as usual of the little one!) she said 'take some of me.'

This is a capture of her - my young woman/child and it makes me stop and take a big breath and think about the journey ahead for us all as our children grow.
