Weather for ducks .... and geese!

My daughter, my Dad and I went to a local museum today, aiming to walk along the canal banks to get some air.

As soon as we got out onto the canal the heavens opened. Even these geese seemed confused as to what to do. They got into the water, then swam around in circles, splitting up then re-grouping. We managed to escape the worst of the deluge by sheltering under a footbridge, but our trousers were soaked through from the blowing rain.

It has rained throughout the day, off and on, so we finally gave up, and had a hearty, unplanned, late lunch out.

How I love a British summer's day! :(
